The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing) – Third Year is an advanced stage of the nursing program where students build upon their medical-surgical foundation and move into specialized fields of nursing practice. This year emphasizes holistic care across different populations and healthcare environments.

One of the major subjects is Child Health Nursing (Pediatric Nursing). Students learn about growth and development, common childhood illnesses, immunization schedules, neonatal care, and pediatric emergencies. Clinical training in pediatric wards helps students develop skills in caring for infants, children, and adolescents.

Another key subject is Mental Health Nursing. This subject focuses on understanding mental health disorders, psychiatric treatments, therapeutic communication, counseling techniques, and rehabilitation. Students gain practical exposure in psychiatric hospitals or mental health units, where they learn to care for individuals with psychological and behavioral disorders.

Community Health Nursing is also introduced or expanded during this year. Students study public health concepts, national health programs, epidemiology, environmental health, and preventive care.
